While the fermentation of the musts obtained from the red grapes is taking place in the cellar and the wines from white grapes that have now completed it are being devatted and decanted, a gentle sun is shining on the Aeolian Islands on these beautiful October days. Those who came to visit us in the cellar during this period are lucky, when Lipari is certainly less crowded than in the summer, but all the food and wine, relaxation and hiking experiences that are done during the warmer months are still possible. The magnificent landscape of the archipelago, on the other hand, is always there, available to everyone!
We have released the 2020 vintage of our classic red Nero Ossidiana, a wine that promises to give us great satisfaction. In the words of Wine Advocate journalist Ms. Monica Larner: “A blend of 90% Corinto Nero and 10% Nero d'Avola, the Tenuta di Castellaro 2020 Nero Ossidiana shows plenty of the sweet cherry fruit, but the wine is also laced with darker leather and spice to further flesh it out. I love the immediate fruit impact of this punchy, fun wine”.
