Nero Ossidiana is a red wine that reflects our commitment to enhancing the native grape varieties and the exceptional organoleptic qualities of the Aeolian Islands’ terroir. It perfectly balances the beautiful acidity and elegance of Corinto Nero with the soft warmth of Nero d’Avola.

It comes from the pressing of whole and partially destemmed grapes, and a long maceration with the skins; it is vinified without temperature control, clarified only by decantation and multiple rackings. With a deep ruby red color, it is a complex and structured wine, presenting on the palate with juicy nuances of red fruit, complemented by intriguing aromas of spices and moss. Its iodine notes firmly assert the distinctive marine influence on a land already rich in trace elements. Nero Ossidiana expresses the full typicity of a land that is both volcanic and marine, enologically representing the union between the island and the sea.
This is a delightful wine that shows the glossy intensity and shine of a Burgundian grape, despite its origins in one of the warmest and most extreme islands in in the sun-soaked heart of the Mediterranean Sea. I think this wine is just terrific.

Ha timbro olfattivo molto ricco, con cenni di gelso nero e cappero. In bocca ha succo ed è molto profondo.
